Collaboration on Apprenticeship Protocol was signed between İŞKUR and GAN TURKEY
‘‘Collaboration on Apprenticeship Protocol ’’ was signed between Nationa Employment Agency (İŞKUR) and TİSK on behalf of GAN TURKEY by TİSK President Yağız Eyüboğlu and General Manager of İŞKUR Dr. Nusret Yazıcı in İstanbul on 13 May 2015 with the wide participation of press.
The Protocol aimes to constitute a collaboration between İŞKUR and GAN TURKEY as a part of İŞKUR’s ‘‘Apprenticeships Programme’’ to provide work experience for unemployed people.
TİSK President Eyüboğlu stated that total number of unemployed youth reached over 74.7 million in the world in 2014, if problem continues at this level, the number of unemployed youth would reach to 75.1 million according to ILO’s predictions and 1 young out of every 5 were unemployed in Turkey.
Eyüboğlu also mentioned that the Protocol is an important step to solve youth unemployment that became a chronic problem. He added that GAN TURKEY Member Companies would enhance skills of unemployed people and students by training them as part of İŞKUR’s ‘‘ Apprenticeships Programme ’’, lack of work experiences would be filled, employers would have the opportunity to recognize potential employees at work. Eyüboğlu emphasized that the collaboration will create ‘‘win-win sdituation’’ for both sides.
Dr. Nusret Yazıcı said in his speech that, service given to individuals by İŞKUR according to employers’ requests on qualified vocational education and the first and foremost were vocational education courses and apprenticeship programmes. Yazıcı also emphasized that, when employment incentives that had applied by government since the economic crisis, the most effective employment incentive was apprenticeships programmes to decrease the unemployment rate.
GAN TURKEY CEO’s Meeting
Senior executives of GAN TURKEY Member Companies (Adecco, Akçansa, Anadolu Isuzu, Anadolo Motor, Arçelik, Aygaz, Bosch Termoteknik, Buga Otis, Çimsa, Doğuş İnşaat, Dörtel Gümrük, Eyüp Sabri Tuncer, Ford Otosan, Hilton Worldwide Türkiye, İçdaş, Mercedes-Benz Türk, Migros, PharmaVision, Pressmech Progressive, Randstad Türkiye, Rollmech Automotive, Santa Farma, Söktaş, Tofaş, Tüp Merserize) attended the meeting.
Head of İŞKUR Active Labour Force Services Mehmet Aslan presented the incentives and implementations that companies will be able to utilise within the scope of İŞKUR programmes.
The Working and Fundamental Principles of GAN TURKEY which were presented by TİSK Secretary General Bülent Pirler were accepted.

GAN TURKEY’s working plan and the activity reports of Member Companies were presented by the TİSK Representative.
According to results of the activity report, 82,277 employees were employed and 6,217 apprenticeships programmes are implemented by GAN TURKEY Member Companies.
