GAN TURKEY’s Second  Member Company Representatives Meeting

GAN TURKEY’s second  Member Company Representatives Meeting was held  in İstanbul on 30 July 2015.

Meeting started with CSR Foundation’s President Serdar Dinler’s presentation titled ‘‘ Can Apprenticeships Programmes Be Evaluated as an Activity of Corporate Social Responsibility?’’. Dinler said that companies had economic, judicial, ethic and social responsibilities and providing opportunities for apprenticeships should be valued within the scope of social responsibility.

After TİSK Secretary General Bülent Pirler’s opening speech, İŞKUR İstanbul Provincial Chief Muammer Coşkun and Employment Expert Eser Erol answered the questions of member company representatives on ‘‘İŞKUR Apprenticeships Programme’’.

As a part of second agenda topic, presentations on best practices were made by the representatives of Ford Otosan, Mercedes-Benz Turk and Migros.

To bring a concrete format to GAN TURKEY’s activities, targeting an increase on the rate of apprenticeships opportunities provided by the member companies was also opened to discussion.

GAN TURKEY’s working plan, the presentations of Apprenticeships Day Toolkit and website were actualised by the representatives of TİSK, developments on Global GAN and other national networks were also explained by Bülent Pirler.
